AHAAINA LUAU REVAMPS DINNER MENU
The Royal Hawaiian, a Luxury Collection Resort invites guests to take an epicurean journey on a “Road Trip around Oahu” with its revamped Ahaaina Luau menu. Imbued with local influence and the destination’s unique flavor, it is the only resort luau located directly on the golden sands of Waikiki Beach, with stunning and unobstructed views of Leahi (Diamond Head) and restaurant-style tables (individual tables per group size). There are four distinct chapters of the new menu:

Through the Ahaaina Luau, the Royal Hawaiian pays homage to Helumoa, the legendary playground of Hawaiian royalty where the resort now stands, with a full sensory experience that honors the resort’s majestic history through food, song, stories, hula, culture and heritage.
- As guests enter the sacred grounds, the evening captures the spirit of traditional Hawaii with time-honored activities such as kapa making (cloth made of pounded bark), poi pounding, and na lawaia (tending of fishing tools).
- The night continues with the sound of a pu (conch shell), calling guests to feast on local flavors are peerless renditions of traditional cuisines. Notably, guests are seated at individual tables with only those in their reservation, offering an intimate experience on enchanting Ocean Lawn.
- As the sun sets, guests are invited on a journey from ancient Hawaii to modern times, with live musicians, hula kahiko and auana (traditional and modern) dances, and beloved mele (song).
