Q.Does your resort have multi-lingual staff?

Yes, The Royal Hawaiian’s staff includes a number of multi-lingual employees. We pride ourselves in delivering exceptional service. If you have any particular needs, please reach out to our concierge.

Q.I am arriving earlier than 3pm. Can you hold my luggage?

A.

Yes, we will be more than happy to store your luggage at our bell desk.
*Please note that we cannot store overnight.

Q.What types of newspapers do you deliver?

A.

We have the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.

Q.Does my room have a fridge and microwave?

A.

Every room has a mini fridge for the convenience of our guests. If you would like to have a microwave in your room, please call in-room dining to place a request. Please note that there is a $25 charge per stay.

Q.Is there a doctor’s office nearby?

A.

Our sister property, the Sheraton Waikiki, has a full medical facility, and is approximately a 2-minute walk from the resort.
The clinic is open 24/7 to the general public and tourists living in the local area. Clinic hours are 7:00AM-11:00PM daily.
The clinic is equipped to perform x-rays, blood tests, and a variety of other general tests and treatments.

Q.Is taxi service always available?

A.

Yes, taxi service is available all day at our bell desk. 

Q.Does the resort have a spa?

A.

Yes, The Royal Hawaiian offers a full spa with both indoor and outdoor treatment rooms.
The Abhasa Spa is located on the lower lobby in the main building. Extensive services and unique treatments allow you to escape into a world of complete relaxation, even if it is just for one day. 

Q.Does the resort have a fitness center?

A.

The Royal Hawaiian offers guests 24-hour access to our fitness center. Running machines and weight training equipment are available to keep you fit during your stay.

Q.Where can I exchange money?

A.

Services for currency exchange are available at the front desk and at local financial institutions located within walking distance from the resort. Please note that service charges may apply.

Q.How can I arrange an island tour or activity?

A.

Q.What is the hotel’s smoking policy?

A.

The State of Hawaii has a Healthy Air & Workplace Law in effect.
The law aims to protect nonsmokers from the dangers of passive smoking and prohibits smoking of all tobacco products, including e-cigarettes and heated cigarettes, in public places and workplaces, including restaurants, and in non-designated areas.

The Royal Hawaiian is a smoke-free property. A fee will be charged for any guests who smoke in guest rooms and suites. Smoking is also prohibited in public areas at the hotel. Should guests need a place to smoke, there is a smoking area located on the 2nd floor lanai of Sheraton Waikiki.

Q.Do you offer babysitting services?

A.

We recommend Sheraton Waikiki’s Poppins Keiki Hawaii, as they offer professional babysitting services and a kids program.

Q.Where can I book a room at The Royal Hawaiian, a Luxury Collection Resort?

A.

You may book your room from our website, or you may call our reservation center at +1 (808) 921-4620.

Q.Does the resort have a resort fee?

A.

The Royal Hawaiian Luxury Collection Resorts will charge a daily resort fee of $42 per room (not including tax) to be added at check-out.

Q.How many guests are allowed in the guestrooms and suites?

A.

All room rates are based on a double occupancy. For a room occupied by 3 or more persons, an additional charge per person per night will be added to the room rate starting from the 3rd person.
There is no additional charge for children under 18 years old. The maximum number of guests in a room is 4 (including children).
*Additional charge for more than 3 persons per room is $155 (per person per night, tax not included)
The adult surcharge includes the cost of an extra bed if requested in a room type where an extra bed can be added.

Q.What time is check-in and check-out?

A.

Check-in is at 3 p.m., and check-out is at 12 p.m.
Guests arriving early on the day of check-in can leave their luggage with us until their rooms are ready, so please let us know when you arrive.
*Please note that we are unable to accept luggage overnight.

Q.May I request specific rooms or request for a higher floor?

A.

Yes, you may certainly request your preferences, and we would be happy to put your request in your reservation. Please note that although your request is acknowledged, we are not able to guarantee it, as requests are dependent on availability.

Q.Do you have rooms to accommodate guests in wheelchairs?

A.

Yes, we have a limited number of ADA Accessible Rooms. Should you need an ADA room, please request this upon booking your room.

Q.Do you offer cribs in rooms?

A.

Yes, you may request a crib upon booking your room or during check-in. Please note that cribs are upon availability.

Q.How may I cancel my reservation?

A.

Q.How far is The Royal Hawaiian from the Honolulu International Airport?

A.

Approximately 9 miles. Depending on traffic, Honolulu International Airport is approximately 45 minutes from The Royal Hawaiian.

Q.How do I arrange transportation to and from the airport?

A.

We can assist in arranging transportation in advance of your arrival. Your may confirm with our Royal Hawaiian Concierge by calling +1 (808) 923-7311 and ask to be directed to Concierge, between the hours of 7:00am and 9:00pm daily.

Q.How is taxi Service?

A.

At the airport, a variety of cabs ranging from sedan to van types are waiting for you.
Time required: approx. 45 min.
Fee: about $60
(Fees are approximate and do not include gratuities. Additional charges may apply depending on the number of passengers, size of luggage, etc.)

Q.How much does it cost to get to and from the airport by taxi or shuttle?

A.

A taxi will cost approximately $50 (one-way), and shuttle starts from $13 per person (one-way). Additional charges may apply for baggage.

Q.Where can I find flight arrival and departure information?

A.

The Honolulu International Airport has created a website detailing
flight arrival and departure information for all major airlines.

Q.What is the cost of daily parking?

A.

Valet parking and self-parking are available for hotel guests.
Valet parking is $65 per car per night (tax not included) and self-parking is $55 per car per day (tax not included).
Prices are subject to change without notice.

Dining

Q.How many dining locations do you have?

A.

We have a total of three, which include Surf Lanai, open for breakfast and lunch, Azure Restaurant, open for dinner, and Mai Tai Bar, open throughout the day.

Q.Do you offer room service?

A.

Room service is currently suspended.

Q.Does your restaurants have a dress code?

A.

Yes, for Azure, we ask that guests wear resort attire (No tank tops, t-shirts, beachwear, or athletic wear). The dress code for Surf Lanai and Mai Tai Bar is resort casual.

Q.Does your restaurants have menus catered to children?

A.

Yes, all of our restaurants have special menus for children.

Q.Do your restaurants have vegetarian menus?

A.

Yes, please ask your server for our vegetarian menu.

Q.I am allergic to certain foods. Are you able to accommodate my dietary concerns?

A.

Yes, please let our server know about your allergy and our chef will accommodate your needs.

Q.Is there Hawaiian entertainment on-property?

A.

Yes, there is daily entertainment at the Mai Tai Bar. Enjoy the music of local musicians and hula dancers, which often accompany groups known throughout the world today. Entertainment starts at 6:30pm and continues through 10:00pm. Ahaaina Luau, A Royal Hawaiian Luau, held every Monday and Thursday night at 5:30pm on the Ocean Lawn, features the very best of Hawaiian entertainment and an enchanting journey through Hawaiian history.

Pool & Beach

Q.How many pools do I have access to?

A.

Guests have access to two pools. Our Malulani pool and the shared Helumoa Playground at the Sheraton Waikiki. Please stop by our Malulani pool or concierge desk prior to accessing the Helumoa Playground.

Q.Do you have a jacuzzi?

A.

Yes, our Honolulu hotel has a jacuzzi (open 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. in the winter; 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. in the summer) that is adjacent to Malulani Pool. The Helumoa jacuzzis are open until 10 p.m. We also have select suites with tub jets. Abhasa Spa also offers body treatments using special equipment, as well as a tranquil jacuzzi within the Spa area.

Q.Do you supply pool towels?

A.

Yes, pool towels are available at the Malulani Pool.

Q.Is there a fee to occupy the Malulani pool chairs?

A.

No, there is no fee for our guests to use our Malulani pool chairs. Chairs are available at a first come, first serve basis.

Q.Is there fee for Malulani pool cabanas and beach chairs?

A.

A beach set with a parasol and two beach chairs at the beach area in front of the Royal Hawaiian and private cabanas by the pool are available for a fee. We recommend that you make your reservations as early as possible at the pool desk or concierge desk.

Q.Does Waikiki Beach Services offer surf lessons and/or rental surfboards?

A.

Yes, Waikiki Beach Services offers surf lessons, surfboard rentals and other available services. More information on Waikiki Beach Services.

Activities

Q.May I book a tour or activity in advance?

A.

Yes, our concierge will assist you in planning customized tours and activities.
The desk is open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Q.Where can I purchase Royal Hawaiian souvenirs?

A.

We recommend purchasing souvenirs from the TRH Inspired and Accents stores. Both boutiques are located in our lobby.

Q.Where can I purchase Royal Hawaiian merchandise online?

A.

Unfortunately, the official Royal Hawaiian products are only available in our boutiques. We highly recommend that you to purchase your souvenirs during your stay with us.

Q.How far is Diamond Head?

A.

Diamond Head is about 2.5 miles from the resort. Taxi, city bus and trolley bus services are all available.
