Dependent on traffic, Honolulu International Airport is approximately 45 minutes from The Royal Hawaiian Hotel.
3. Is The Royal Hawaiian Hotel Located On The Beach?
Yes, the property is located directly on Waikiki beach with many of the rooms directly facing the Pacific.
4. What Are The Directions From Honolulu Airport?
From the airport, take H1 freeway to Nimitz Highway. Follow Nimitz Highway, which will turn into Ala Moana Boulevard. Make a right onto Kalakaua Avenue (2 miles past Ala Moana Mall). Turn right on Royal Hawaiian Avenue (2 miles down Kalakaua Avenue).
5. How Do I Arrange Transportation To And From The Airport?
We can assist in arranging transportation in advance of your arrival. Your may confirm with Sheraton Central Reservations or by calling the hotel direct at (808) 922-4422 and asking for Sheraton Travel Services.
6. How Much Does It Cost To Get To/From The Airport By Taxi Or Shuttle?
A taxi will cost approximately $30 (one-way), a shuttle $9 per person each way to and from Waikiki. Additional charges may apply for baggage.

Self Parking is $20 and Valet is $26 with a parking pass which is issued at our guest services desk (prices are per day). Please confirm with the front desk associate upon check-in.
8. Does The Hotel Have A Spa Or Fitness Center?
Yes, The Royal Hawaiian Hotel offers a full spa treatment center. The Abhasa Spa is located on the lower lobby level in the main building. Extensive services and unique treatments allow you to escape into a world of complete relaxation...even if just for the day. Our sister property, the Sheraton Waikiki is located just next door and offers fitness facilities at the Ho'okipa Center which include weight and cardio equipment, showers and lockers.
9. Do You Have A Jacuzzi?
We do have select suites with tub jets and the new spa offers special body treatments using special equipment located in the lower lobby area.
10. How Many Bars Do You Have?
The world famous Mai Tai Bar is our main bar located right next to Waikiki Beach. Hours of operation: 10:00 am to 12:30 am daily. You can also arrange to have alcoholic beverages delivered to your room by our In-Room Dining staff and waiters service the pool area throughout the day.
11. Is There A Doctor's Office Nearby?
Our sister hotel, the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani has a full medical facility and is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel.
12. Do You Have An ATM On Property?
Yes, located in the lobby by the main entrance. Several banking services are also within walking distance of the hotel.
13. Is There Hawaiian Entertainment On Property?
Yes, daily at the Mai Tai Bar you can enjoy the music of local musicians and hula dancers often accompany the groups. Entertainment starts at 4:30 pm and goes until 10:00 pm. The Royal Hawaiian Luau is also held every Monday night on Waikiki Beach.

16. Do You Have A Hospitality Room In The Hotel?
Yes, it is located on the second floor. Should you be arriving early or need to refresh following checkout, this hospitality area is available at no cost to Royal Hawaiian guests. However, all luggage will need to be stored as there are no locker facilities in this area. See the bell-desk staff for access.
17. Which Restaurants Offer An Ocean View?
We recommend the Surf Room which offers a spectacular view of Diamond Head and all of Waikiki Beach. It is open daily for breakfast from 7:30 am -11:30 am, lunch is 11:30 - 2:30 pm, and for dinner from 6:00-10:00 pm. Brunch is held every Sunday from 11:00 am - 2:30 pm.
18. What Time Is Sunset?
It varies according to the season. However, because Hawaii does not participate in "Daylight Savings Time" the latest sunset in Summer is usually around 8:00 pm with the sun setting at around 6:00 pm in the shorter winter evenings. To see the exact time based on available charts, please click here.

Our suggestion is the Royal Hawaiian Luau which is held on Monday evenings from 6:00 pm. Reservations are recommended. To find out more information about this wonderful event, click here.
